At Last
Here it is: Young Has Been’s debut LP and attendant collateral! It represents both a three-year labor of love and a lifelong love of labor.
Young Has Beens is made up of a rag-tag band of veteran musicians with rag-tag resumes and rag-tag attitudes. It takes us forever to do everything. Think about your grandpa. Nonetheless, perseverance eventually won out and this recording is the end result. Let this be a lesson to you. Or not.
If you (like us) wonder why we bother, consider this:
We are really quite old people, by rock and roll standards.
We scratch our collective living from a wide variety of industries: From finance to construction; from home loans to high-tech.
We physically designed and built the studio where we recorded this record, damn it!
OK, only one of us designed it (Thanks Mig.)
Between us, we generally put away at least a case of beer in a single night, and one of us doesn’t even really take part (Thanks Paul.)
We are somewhat fuzzy and disoriented, in general.
The video for our first single, “Interiors”, features approximately 1/3 of the contents of one person’s garage.
So now, why do you think we bother? That’s not a rhetorical question. We really need some help with that one.
